Darwin Diary Events
Most event listings and the information contained therein have been externally sourced and are posted in the Darwin Diary in an unsolicited manner. Please note that the Darwin Diary is for event listings of businesses, charities, clubs, organisations and community groups; not individuals.
If your business, charity, club, organisation or community group event is listed and you do not wish to remain in the Darwin Diary or do not accept these Terms and Conditions please notify us so that we may remove your event listing.
Edit, Rejection or Removal
We reserve the right to edit, reject, refuse or remove any event listing at any time for any reason and without being obliged to provide any reasons to you.
Access and Passwords
You are free to directly make changes to any information contained in your events listing.
You must keep your username and password secure, and ensure that only persons authorised by you have access to and use of your username and password for the purpose only for which it was provided to you.
Warning
You acknowledge that the Darwin Diary cannot control who will view an event listing. For safety and security, you are encouraged to take measures and precautions against providing personal information in your event listing that could place you or your staff or members in danger (whether real, threatened or potential).
Your Obligations
You must not include information in your Darwin Diary event listing that:
- is unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, objectionable, pornographic, profane or indecent;
- is false, misleading or deceptive or contains any misrepresentations;
- interferes with or inhibits other users or listing owners from enjoying or using the Darwin Diary;
- constitutes or encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any applicable law;
- violates or infringes upon the intellectual property rights or other proprietary rights of any other person;
- not disclose confidential information of any other person without that person’s written consent;
- is an invasion of any privacy or publicity rights of any person; or
- exposes us to liability.
The information contained in your Darwin Diary event listing must:
- be for a business, charity, club, organisation or community group with a physical location and active presence within the Northern Territory;
- offer only products or services that complies with all applicable laws;
- comply with the Australian Broadcasting legislation, regulations, guidelines, rules and relevant industry codes of practice;
- relate only to the entity the subject of the event listing; and
- be true and accurate and be kept up to date.
In accessing and using your Darwin Diary event listing, you must not:
- tamper or interfere with or hinder the technical managerial or administrative operations of or make unauthorised modifications to the event listings or the Darwin Diary website generally;
- seek to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Darwin Diary system or network;
- breach any security or authentication measures for the event listings or the Darwin Diary system or network;
- attempt to gain access to or use of any other Darwin Diary event listing; and
- knowingly transmit any virus or other disabling feature to the events listing or Darwin Diary website
